St. Coletta of Greater Washington, designed by Michael Graves, is a school for students with intellectual and multiple disabilities and autism. The 99,000 square foot school serves 285 students ages 3-22. The elements of the building program are distinctly articulated in the plan and on the exterior of the building, where the massing and facades also respond to the scale of adjacent neighborhoods. A highly recognizable building in Washington DC, the iconic silhouette of the building has been adapted into the school’s logo.
